The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.
— Psalm 23:1

RIGSImusic is rhythm-driven, electronic-alternative pop that celebrates salvation in Jesus Christ.

Kasaan Hammon was born in the Middle East and grew up in Hawaii. An awkward kid who often felt like an outsider, she found a way to express herself through music and dance. She started singing and playing piano at the age of 5 and started writing songs at the age of 9. She picked up sequencing and programming quickly and started recording demos at age 14. They reflected her multi-ethnic roots and upbringing: exotic rhythmic beds below and intricate layered melodies above, influenced by 80’s British synth pop, R&B and alternative. At the age of 19, she composed the theme song for the motion picture “Crossfire,” and she was signed to Elektra Records/Warner Music a few years later. She performed in nightclubs in Los Angeles, New York, and other cities around the United States and had her singles featured on regional Top 40 radio.

Then she stepped away from it all. The joy in making music was lost after navigating the maze of secular music without the right foundation and purpose. In 2013, Kasaan devoted her life to following Jesus Christ. God gave her back joy in music again, and RIGSImusic was reborn.

Kasaan lives in Southern California where she is making music, teaching, and raising her son. Their home is filled with love, laughter, good grooves, and mommy-son dance parties.
